FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police were searching Wednesday for a man they say robbed two Fayetteville banks.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Rason Lamar Sparkman, 29, in connection with the June 27 robbery of the RBC Bank branch on Ramsey Street and Monday's robbery of the Wachovia branch on South McPherson Church Road.

Police said they are also investigating whether Sparkman is involved in other crimes.

Two local bank robberies this summer remain unsolved, police said. A Wachovia branch on Morganton Road was held up on June 14, and a First Citizens Bank branch on Bragg Boulevard was robbed on July 26.

Anyone with information about Sparkman's whereabouts or about any of the robberies is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477).
