— The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office asked for help from the public in identifying the man who robbed a Dollar General store in Stedman Friday.

Investigators released surveillance images that show a black man with a medium complexion and dreadlocks, wearing a white shirt with red or brown stripes and blue jeans. He appears to be about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weigh about 140 to 150 pounds.

Authorities said the man entered the store at 7681 Clinton Road shortly before 12:30 p.m. and demanded money from the register.

He was last seen traveling southeast on Clinton Road in a black, extended cab pickup truck.

Anyone with information about the crime or the suspect is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 910-323-1500.
