Man sought in Durham sexual assault

Durham police on Wednesday released a composite sketch of a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault last month.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police on Wednesday released a composite sketch of a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault last month.

A woman told police that she was taking trash to a bin on East Cornwallis Road on April 21 when the attack occurred.

The attacker was described as a black man with curly hair who stood between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall and had a slim build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Police are asking that anyone with information that could help investigators call the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4440, extension 29340, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
