Man slain outside Vance County bar
Vance County authorities were searching Wednesday for a gunman in connection with a shooting death early Tuesday.
Posted — UpdatedDavid Dmitri Perry, 43, of Warrenton, was found shot outside Joker's Bar & Lounge, on U.S. High 1/158 in the Greystone community at about 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, authorities said. He was taken to Maria Parham Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators said the shooting appears to have occurred during a robbery attempt. Perry was shot in the abdomen with a shotgun, they said.
