Man shot while doing yard work in Durham

A 68-year-old man was shot Tuesday afternoon in the 2100 block of Faucette Avenue, near N.C. Highway 70, Durham police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A 68-year-old man was shot Tuesday afternoon in the 2100 block of Faucette Avenue, near N.C. Highway 70, Durham police said. 

Officers responding to the area about 3 p.m. learned that the man was doing yard work when he was shot in the arm and side. The man's name was not released, but authorities said he was treated at Duke University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. 

Police believe the shots may have come from a white Ford work van, but they didn't release other details about possible suspects.
