RALEIGH, N.C. — A man was shot near a Raleigh elementary school and robbed early Tuesday, police said.
The man was standing outside near Poe Elementary School, at Nelson and Peyton streets, around 2:15 a.m. when he was attacked, Raleigh police said.
The school, which operates on a traditional calendar, is not in session for the summer.
He was taken to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities didn’t say where he was shot or how many times, but multiple shell casings were found at the scene, they said.
Police did not have a suspect.
