Man shot on Hammond Road in Raleigh dies of injuries

— Raleigh Police responded to a call concerning a man who had been shot by the Hammond Road exit ramp on 1-40 in Raleigh around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The shooting victim, William Stanton Kinney, 36, was transported to WakeMed with serious injuries.

On Sunday afternoon, Kinney died as a result of his injuries.
