Man shot in Rocky Mount

Police said the man was taken to Vidant Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Police did not release the man's condition.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Rocky Mount police are investigating after a 33-year-old man was shot on Christmas Day.

The shooting happened in the 700 block of Dreaver Street around 10:15 a.m.

Police said the man was taken to Vidant Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Police did not release the man's condition.

Information on a possible motive or gunman was not released.
