Fayetteville police said that a man was shot in the parking lot of the Walmart store at 1550 Skibo Road early Saturday.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Fayetteville police said that a man was shot in the parking lot of the Walmart store at 1550 Skibo Road early Saturday.

The man told police that he was walking to his car when he heard a gunshot. The man was struck in the side and drove himself to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. His injuries were non-life-threatening.

Police said the shooting was apparently random. No arrests have been made.

The victim's identity hasn't been released.
