Man, shot in nightclub fight, dies

Alton Strange Jr. was involved in a fight at a nightclub at Russel Street and Eastern Boulevard around 1:45 a.m., police said. He received multiple gunshot wounds.

Strange managed to get out of the club and walk across the street and down the block. Officers responding to calls found his body at 2:33 a.m.

Detectives said they are interviewing some of Strange's friends, whom they believe will be able to help identify a suspect.
