Man shot in neck during domestic-related fight in Fayetteville

Fayetteville police said a domestic-related incident Thursday night resulted in a man being shot in the neck. The man and another man were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police said a domestic-related incident Thursday night resulted in a man being shot in the neck. The man and another man were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they responded to the 700 block of Topeka Street at 9:51 p.m. in reference to reports of someone being shot. They found two men in need of medical attention, one who had been shot in the neck.

Investigators said this was a domestic-related incident. After the suspect shot the victim, a physical altercation ensued.

Both the victim and suspect, who have not yet been identified, were transported to an area hospital and were listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
