Man shot in Durham after attempted robbery
A man was shot in Durham after an attempted robbery. He went to the hospital on his own to seek treatment for his gunshot wound.

AND WR-A-L BRETT KNES. HE IS AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. WHAT ARE INVESTIGATORS TELLING YOU. >> Reporter: I SPOKE WITH POLICE SHORTLY I HAVE A GOT TO THAT SCENE, AND THEY TELL ME THE MAN WHO WAS SHOT IS EXPECTED TO BE OKAY BUT A SCARY SITUATION TO IMAGINE YOURSELF IN. LOOK AT THE SCENE. THE MAN WAS WALKING ON PALMER STREET WHEN SOMEONE APPROACHED AND TRIED TO ROB HIM. POLICE SAY THE MAN WAS SHOT IN THE FOOT AND WENT TO THE HOSPITAL ON HIS OWN. YOU CAN SEE CLOSE TO A DOZEN EVIDENCE MARKERS ON THE GROUND. LOOKS LIKE THAT'S HOW MANY SHOTS WERE FIRED, WHEN THIS HAPPENED. SO FAR, NO ONE HAS BEEN ARRESTED.
