A man died after being shot at a Henderson motel over the weekend, police said.

<b>HENDERSON, N.C.</b> — A man died after being shot at a Henderson motel over the weekend, police said.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at the Days Inn at 1052 Ruin Creek Road at about 4 a.m. Saturday and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was transported to Maria Parham Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.  His name hasn't been released, pending notification of relatives.

The shooting remains under investigation, police said.
