Man shot at after breaking into ex-girlfriend's home in Fuquay-Varina: Police

A man was shot at after an argument with an ex-girlfriend and another man on Sunday morning in Fuquay-Varina.

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — A man was shot at after an argument with an ex-girlfriend and another man on Sunday morning in Fuquay-Varina.

Fuquay-Varina police reported that a man forced his way inside the home of a former girlfriend and got in an altercation with her and another man at a home at Bailey Place Apartments on Angier Road after 3 a.m.

The man shot a pellet gun at the male acquaintance and ex-girlfriend before she left the home with a child, according to police. The male acquaintance then went to his vehicle and retrieved a weapon, shooting at the ex-boyfriend, resulting in injuries to the shoulder/arm region. 

The man is being treated for his injuries. An investigation for what police are calling a "domestic related shooting incident" is ongoing. No one in the report was named by authorities.
