Police seek suspect in Durham shooting

A 24-year-old man was shot several times in the 600 block of North Driver Street Monday night, Durham police said

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police on Tuesday were searching for a suspect wanted in a shooting that left a 24-year-old man in critical condition.

Officers said they responded to a shooting call about 10 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of North Driver Street and found Jelani Kaumua Dandy in the road with several gunshot wounds. He was taken to Duke University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A suspect identified as Terrell Thomas Inman, 20, has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and second-degree kidnapping.

Anyone with information on Inman's location is asked to call Durham Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
