Man sentenced to 120 months for Rocky Mount gas station robberies

— A Rocky Mount man was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison for two separate robberies.

Antonio Lynch, 34, pled guilty to two counts of interfering with commerce by robbery. He was originally charged with four counts in June.

Investigators said Lynch robbed the Fuel Doc Citgo gas station on Cokey Road in Rocky Mount on Sep. 27, 2019. Lynch threatened the cashier with a knife.

Then on Sep. 20, 2019, Lynch robbed the Sheetz gas station on Benvenue Road in Rocky Mount. In that robbery, Lynch threatened the cashier and other Sheetz employees with a gun.

Investigators said it was determined the gun Lynch used was a pellet gun.

Officers later determined that the gun used by Lynch was a pellet gun.
