Man's body found in parking lot of Kohl's in Fuquay-Varina
A death investigation is underway after a man's body was found in a Kohl's parking lot Monday morning.

According to the Fuquay-Varina Police Department, around 8 a.m., officers found the body of a 22-year-old on the ground beside a car outside the Kohl's located at 640 Lakestone Commons Avenue. A firearm was also located.
A 911 caller thought he was sleeping, police said.
The incident is being investigated as a suspicious death, and an autopsy will be performed.
Certain areas of the parking lot were blocked off, and officials asked people to "respect the investigation" and avoid the roped off areas. The store was open as usual.
