A man was hospitalized Thursday after rescue crews pulled him from Lochmere Lake in Cary, a town spokeswoman said.

<b>CARY, N.C.</b> — A man was hospitalized Thursday after rescue crews pulled him from Lochmere Lake in Cary, a town spokeswoman said.

A passerby saw the man shortly after 4:30 p.m. and called 911. 

The man, whose name and condition were not released, was wearing jogging attire. He was taken to WakeMed. 

Investigators were collecting evidence at the scene to determine what happened.

A portion of the Swift Creek Greenway and the westbound lane of Lochmere Driver were closed temporarily while authorities were on scene.
