CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have apprehended a man wanted for homicides in two North Carolina cities over three days, according to a news release Thursday.

The Greensboro Police Department said Malek Anthony Moore, 29, was arrested on a local street without incident after receiving a phone call from a resident. Moore is being held without bond in the Guilford County jail and it wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation had asked for help in finding Moore, whom they identified as "armed and dangerous" and the suspect in the death of an evacuee of Hurricane Ida in Charlotte and another person in Greensboro.

Moore was previously wanted in the murder of Gabryelle Allnut in Charlotte's NoDa community, according to NBC affiliate WCNC.

Allnut was found unresponsive in a Charlotte art studio on Sept. 5 after traveling to the city to escape Hurricane Ida. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

WCNC reports that Allnut was a youth instructor with the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts.

Moore is also a person of interest in the murder of Christian Mbimba, 21, in Greensboro. Mbimba was killed in the 2800 block of Patterson Street, and his body was found in the street. Law enforcement said Moore also assaulted a woman on Little Sugar Creek Greenway in Charlotte.

Moore was wanted on charges of murder, first-degree burglary and kidnapping. WCNC said Moore also has previous offenses in Guilford, Cumberland and Martin counties.
