A man was hit and killed while walking across Morganton Road in Fayetteville early Sunday, according to police.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man was hit and killed while walking across Morganton Road in Fayetteville early Sunday, according to police.
Fernando Rodriguez, 23, of Fort Bragg, was hit shortly before 5:45 a.m. near McFayden Drive by a 2007 Saturn Ion driven by Jessica Scott, police said.
The crash remains under investigation, but no charges had been filed as of Monday afternoon.
