Man Killed in Wilson Hit-and-Run

A 20-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning during a fatal hit and run on US 301 near Firestone Parkway in Wilson County.

WILSON, N.C. — A 20-year-old man was killed early Saturday during a fatal hit-and-run on U.S. Highway 301, near Firestone Parkway, in Wilson County.

Christopher Lee Estep, of Wilson, died after being hit by a vehicle sometime between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Troopers were notified just after 7 a.m. when a passerby called, saying there was a man lying in the median.

Police are looking for the driver of the gray colored vehicle. The vehicle will likely have front-end damage on the left side, head light and turn-signal. It might also be missing windshield wiper.
