A 47-year-old man was killed Friday in a motorcycle crash, authorities said.

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — A 47-year-old man was killed Friday in a motorcycle crash, authorities said.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m. on Interstate 87, at the Wendell Fall Parkway exit near Knightdale.
Montel Garrett was riding his motorcycle when he rear-ended a SUV, authorities said. He fell off the motorcycle and was then hit by another passing car.
He died at the scene.
