Man killed in stabbing near Creedmoor

Creedmoor, N.C. — Granville County authorities have charged a man in a fatal stabbing Wednesday morning at a mobile home south of Creedmoor, according to Sheriff Brindell B. Wilkins.
Scott Michael Edwards, 38, of 1584-A N.C. Highway 50 South in Creedmoor, faces first-degree murder and armed robbery charges in the death of Needham Bryant Sloan, 57, of the same address.
Wilkins called the stabbing a "domestic incident," but the relationship between the men was not released.
Deputies were called to the home shortly before 10 a.m.
No other information was released.
