Man killed, woman injured in shooting at downtown Raleigh apartment building

One person died in a shooting near downtown Raleigh on Monday night.

RALEIGH, N.C. — One person died in a shooting near downtown Raleigh on Monday night.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, two people were shot in the 500 block of East Edenton Street, behind a home being used as an apartment building, around 10:20 p.m.

Police did not identify the man who died. The other victim, a woman, will recover from her injuries, police said.

Information on a motive or gunman was not released by police.
