21-year-old man killed in motorcycle crash in Fayetteville

A man died Saturday night in a motorcycle crash in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man died Saturday night in a motorcycle crash.

Around 11:30 p.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a motorcycle crash on Pamalee Drive near Commonwealth Avenue. According to officials, the motorcycle left the roadway and collided with nearby trees in the area.

The driver, 21-year-old Byron Michael Furrell, was seriously injured at the scene and transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
