Man killed in Fayetteville shooting

A man died after being shot multiple times at at 5312 N. Sumac Circle Friday evening, Fayetteville police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man died after being shot multiple times at at 5312 N. Sumac Circle Friday evening, Fayetteville police said.

Police found a man in his 20s with multiple gunshot wounds at the scene shortly after 6 p.m. The victim's was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he died.

The victim's identity hasn't been released, pending notification of family.

Police said there was more than one shooter, and witnesses told police that there was a lot of gunfire.

No arrests have been made.
