Police: Man charged in shooting death of 17-year-old victim in Durham

DURHAM, N.C. — A man was killed in a shooting near the intersection Eva and Railroad streets in Durham on Friday, officials said.
Officers were dispatched around 9:15 p.m. to the 700 block of Eva Street where they found a man with a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as 17-year-old Markis Perry, died at the hospital.
Police on Saturday said Diamonte Porter, 19, was arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter in connection to Perry's death.
