Man killed after car hits moped near Clayton
A man driving a moped died late Friday after being hit by a car northwest of Clayton, North Carolina Highway Patrol officials said.

CLAYTON, N.C. — A man driving a moped died late Friday after being hit by a car northwest of Clayton, North Carolina Highway Patrol officials said.
According to troopers, Hector Matos was hit at about 10 p.m. near the intersection of Pine Hollow Drive and East Garner Road.
The driver of the car involved was not injured.
Troopers said no charges will be filed.
