Man jailed in NC State dorm room thefts

A Raleigh man was arrested this week on charges that he broke into eight rooms at Bragaw Residence Hall on the North Carolina State University campus.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man was arrested this week on charges that he broke into eight rooms at Bragaw Residence Hall on the North Carolina State University campus.

Davon Chadewick White, 17, of 552-C E. Jones St., was arrested Monday on breaking and entering charges.

According to search warrants, N.C. State campus police arrested White as he tried to collect stolen property from the dorm.

Police seized several items from White’s home, including a MasterCard, a Macy’s store credit card, a Walmart gift card, a utility bill, a birth certificate and a pawn ticket.

White was in the Wake County jail Wednesday under a $71,000 bond.
