Gas station manager shot during attempted robbery on Glenwood Avenue, employee says

Raleigh police said there is currently no threat to the public.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A gas station manager shot Monday during an attempted robbery on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call at the Exxon gas station on 9409 Glenwood Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found the man, who is an employee at the gas station, with a gunshot wound.

Another employee at the gas station said the manager went to the bank to drop off money and the shooter followed the manager back to the gas station. When he arrived, the suspect attempted to rob the manager and shot him in the leg.

The manager was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

One of the suspects was wearing a ski mask, according to the employee and Broadcastify audio.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and there is no threat to the public.
