Gakunga Mburu, 32, ran off the road just east of Aviation Parkway, according to Highway Patrol officials. His vehicle overturned, and he was taken to WakeMed.<br />

Authorities said they think Mburu might have broken his neck. <br />

Mburu was charged with driving on a revoked license, driving while impaired, careless and reckless driving and not wearing a seatbelt.

Troopers said the driving while impaired charge deals with a substance rather than alcohol. <br />

Troopers said Mburu claimed there was another vehicle that caused him to run off the road.
