DURHAM, N.C. — Two gunmen burst into an apartment, robbed three people and then fled in a stolen car Friday morning, according to Durham police spokeswoman Kammie Michael.

The gunmen confronted a man at the door to his apartment on Willow Creek Circle, near Guess and Horton roads, around 8:15 a.m., Michael said. The gunmen stole cash and electronic items from the three residents and then fled in a 2006 Suzuki Aerio belonging to a victim.

Officers found the stolen vehicle about 15 minutes later on Maryland Avenue, near Sunset Avenue, and recovered some stolen items, Michael said.
