Man in critical condition after shooting at Fayetteville motel

A man was seriously injured following a shooting at a Fayetteville motel Tuesday night.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man was seriously injured following a shooting at a Fayetteville motel Tuesday night.

Fayetteville police said officers responded to the Travel Inn in the 300 block of North Eastern Boulevard at about 9:20 p.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound.

The man, who was found inside a motel room, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.

Police said the victim’s name is being withheld until family members can be notified.

Authorities said robbery appeared to be a motive in the shooting.
