Man Gets 28 Felony Charges for Allegedly Impregnating Minor
A Hoke County man faces 28 felony charges after he allegedly impregnated a juvenile.
Posted — UpdatedRED SPRINGS, N.C. — A Hoke County man faces 28 felony charges after he allegedly impregnated a juvenile.
The Hoke County Sheriff's Office arrested Ricky Oxendine Jr., 21, of Highland Game Road, Red Springs, on Friday. He was charged with 14 counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and 14 counts of statutory rape.
Investigators said the victim was freely allowed to visit Oxendine on a regular basis.
The Department of Social Services has taken custody of the girl. Her age was not released.
Oxendine was being held in the Hoke County Jail under a $200,000 bond Monday.
