Police on Monday were investigating a fatal shooting at a Fayetteville apartment complex.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Police on Monday were investigating a fatal shooting at a local apartment complex.

Officers responded to a reported shooting at Colony Place Apartments at about 11:55 p.m. Sunday and found the body of Alphonso D. Elder, 21, whose last known address was 5205 Sequoia Road.

Information regarding a motive or possible suspects wasn't available Monday morning, police said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
