Officers responded to 3513 Century Oaks Dr. around 10:30 p.m. for a gunshot wound, according to the Durham Police Department. Reginald Carter, of Durham, was found dead.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call Investigator Ortiz at 919-560-4440 ext. 29337 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.

No arrests have been made, and authorities said the shooting does not appear to be random.
