(AP) — Rescuers raced Saturday to search for survivors and help hundreds of people left homeless after a powerful tornado cut a devastating path through Mississippi, killing at least 25 people, injuring dozens, and flattening entire blocks as it carved a path of destruction for more than an hour. One person was killed in Alabama.

Police say a 29-year-old man was found shot on Calumet Drive near Holston Lane in Raleigh on Saturday afternoon. 

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Police say a 29-year-old man was found shot on Calumet Drive near Holston Lane in Raleigh on Saturday afternoon. 

Joshua William Bower was taken to WakeMed Hospital. He was listed in good condition Sunday evening.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-834-HELP.
