<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Authorities are investigating after a person was shot in the jaw Wednesday night in Durham.

Durham police said a person noticed the shooting victim lying in the roadway on Liberty Street near Elizabeth Street and called 911 at about 9:30 p.m.

The victim, who was not identified, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities have not released any suspect information or a motive for the shooting.
