Durham police were investigating after a 22-year-old man was found dead under a gazebo at Hillside Park on Thursday morning.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Durham police were investigating after a 22-year-old man was found dead under a gazebo at Hillside Park on Thursday morning.

Officers near the park, on South Roxboro Street, heard gunshots around 12:30 a.m. and responded to the scene.

Darren Dixon had an apparent gunshot wound, police said.

No information about suspects was released.
