A Cumberland County man apparently died of natural causes while sitting on his porch and rested there for days before his death was discovered Friday.

<b>SPRING LAKE, N.C.</b> — A Cumberland County man apparently died of natural causes while sitting on his porch and rested there for days before his death was discovered Friday, said Debbie Tanna, spokeswoman for the sheriff's office.

Tanna said family members asked for deputies to check on the man at his home on Mimosa Drive. The man was 63 and had a history of medical problems, Tanna said. His condition indicated he had been on the porch awhile, she added.
