Durham police were investigating Tuesday after officers found a man dead inside a car late Monday in the 3200 block of Rowena Avenue in the southeast part of the city. 

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Durham police were investigating Tuesday after officers found a man dead inside a car late Monday in the 3200 block of Rowena Avenue in the southeast part of the city.

Officers responding to a shots fired call found Jamond Lee Alston, 22, of Durham, shortly after 10 p.m. Investigators said the car had crashed, and Alston had an apparent gunshot wound.

Anyone with information about the incident should call Durham Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
