Man found dead in Johnston County after drowning in neighbor's pool

According to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office, the man went into a neighbor's pool without telling the homeowner. The neighbor found the dead body while he was cutting the grass and pulled the man from the pool.

KENLY, N.C. — A man is dead in Johnston County after drowning in a neighbor's pool.

According to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office, the owner of the home found the man in his pool unresponsive and called for help.

The incident took place in the 1900 block of Junior Road in Kenly.

The victim does not live at the home, so officers are not releasing a name or confirmed age until notifying next of kin.
