One man died and another person was injured Sunday in a shooting at a Sanford apartment. 



<b>SANFORD, N.C.</b> — One man died and another person was injured Sunday in a shooting at a Sanford apartment.

Around 3:15 a.m., officers with the Sanford Police Department responded to the Westridge apartment complex located at 2047 Pathway Drive.

Inside one apartment, officers found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Eric Andre Thompson Jr., 29, was pronounced dead, and Jessie Yvonne Ray, 22, was airlifted to UNC and was in stable condition.

The shooting is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sanford Police Department at 919-777-1051.
