Atom Divine Cameron, 20, has been indicted for murder in the Sept. 26 killing, which occurred at a convenience store at 109 N.C. Highway 54, a Durham police spokeswoman said.

Police said Cameron turned himself in Tuesday evening before he was taken to the Durham County Jail, where he was being held Wednesday in lieu of a $250,000 bond.

Colby Aaron Lucas, 29, of Durham, was found by rescue workers shortly before 2:30 p.m. in the store's parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not yet said what prompted the shooting.
