Man fatally shot in Durham home

Around 8 a.m., deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at a home located at 3601 Brockwell Road. At the scene, they discovered one male victim, who died in the home as a result of injuries he sustained in the shooting.

This incident is under investigation, and additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available. Officials said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident, not a random crime, and there is no additional threat to the general public.
