Man drowns in Person County lake

David Midyette, an officer with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission said William Glenn Snow died Sunday evening.

Witnesses said he jumped off the back of a pontoon boat, swam a bit but never came back from beneath the water.

Emergency crews recovered Snow's body about an hour later, Midyette said.

Foul play is not suspected in his death.
