Man dies in Roxboro lake after jumping from boat that broke down
A man drowned in a Person County lake Saturday afternoon after his boat broke down, police said.

ROXBORO, N.C. — A man drowned in a Person County lake Saturday afternoon after his boat broke down, police said.
Officials said two men were on a boat on Mayo Lake in Roxboro when their boat broke down.
One man, identified as Samuel David, 56, jumped into the water to pull the boat in and didn't come back up.
Rescue teams found him 45 minutes into the search.
