Man dies in Nashville wreck

A 20-year-old Nashville man died in a single-vehicle wreck Saturday morning, according to the state Highway Patrol.

NASHVILLE, N.C. — A 20-year-old Nashville man died in a single-vehicle wreck Saturday morning, according to the state Highway Patrol.

Troopers said that a vehicle driven by Joshua Tyler Strickland crossed the center line of Old Bailey Highway, about a mile south of Nashville, around 5:30 a.m. The vehicle ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Strickland died of his injuries.

He was wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was not involved, troopers said.
