Man dies in Greensboro after tree falls on moving car

According to Greensboro officials, Anthony George, 48, was driving east on E. Cone Boulevard near Caesar Street when a tree fell onto his BMW. At the same moment, the same tree fell on the car of Becky Combs, 48, who was on the road beside George.

George died from the injuries he sustained in the crash. His wife, who was riding in the car, and Combs sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

E. Cone Blvd was closed due to the tree across the roadway, but has since been re-opened.
