Man dies after shooting in Fayetteville convenience store parking lot

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Quick 'n Go Tobacco Store in the 5300 block of Murchison Road.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man died Tuesday night after being shot multiple times in Fayetteville.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Quick 'n Go Tobacco Store in the 5300 block of Murchison Road.

Police said when they arrived on scene they found Dajuan McDonald, 25, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment where he later died from his injuries.

Police said the shooting is not related to the violent robbery trend that was discussed earlier Tuesday.

The shooting remains under investigation.
